Centennial Olympic Park

The downtown Atlanta, Georgia, trip is not complete without a visit to the Centennial Olympic Park. The 22-acre green area is considered the crown gem of Atlanta’s downtown entertainment district. It’s it is a popular destination year-round for residents and visitors.

It’s not just an after-effect of the 1995 Olympic Games. Still, it has already provided thriving tourists with its urban oasis that offers many activities and plenty to do for families, visitors, convention-goers, and residents.

What to Expect?

The park is famous for its Instagram-worthy art. It is possible to check out the interactive digital mural in the Visitors Center and practice your photography skills by standing in front of the Olympic Rings sculpture. Alongside the park’s music series that runs every week, Centennial Olympic Park hosts major annual events that are popular with the public, like Sweetwater420 Festival, Shaky Knees Music Festival, and more! Fountain of Rings Fountain of Rings is also the world’s largest fountain with an interactive feature.

Children of all ages can enjoy the Fountain and take in the sights as the water is synchronized to the music. Watch as the water moves to popular tunes, enhanced by the lighting effects. It is a Fountain of Rings show that plays daily, four times year-round at 12:30, 3:00 pm, 6:30 am, 6:30 pm, and nine at 9 pm.

You will see numerous places of interest and features like Fountain of Rings Plaza, Gateway of Dreams, Hermes Tower, Ivan Allen Tribute, Magnolia Tribute Garde, Paralympic Legacy, and Plaza, Quilt of Dreams, and the Southern Company Amphitheater, Unity Plaza, and Water Gardens.
